It is just a normal day today. The weather is getting warmer these two days; however, my room doesn't get much sun, so it still feels like in Winter. Anyway, so far I have only ordered my figures online, but I would like to see the figure in person before purchase. Therefore, today I went to check out an anime store, Tokyo Kid, located at the Garage Mall in Harvard square.
The moment I entered the store, I immediately saw someone picking up a Nendoroid Yuki Nagato. 'OMG, I WANT IT TOO!!!', so I asked the worker there; but it seemed to be the last one. Damn... wish I left my apartment few minutes earlier and I might have bought it. The store mainly sells manga (in English) and anime DVD; you also can rent the anime DVD. The most interesting part for me is the figures. The store has a decent number of figure, but not as many as you can find online. The price for these figures are very reasonable, but some are a bit overpriced.
The one that caught my eyes was a pre-painted figure of Haruhi in bunny outfit with her guitar. I believe it is only available for resin kit; correct me if I'm wrong. I did not bring my camera, so I borrow this picture from Gamera Baenre; make sure to check out his site for the full process of this amazing figure and his other works.
From my poor memory, the paint job is not as good as the one above, but it is decent and for only 48 USD. Now, come the question for this post; Should I buy it?
I stayed the store for a while in hope for the guy got the last Nendoroid Yuki changed his mind and put it back... I'm so pathetic. I eventually left the store and went to Newberry Comic, a comic store, near by; and guess what I found there. This Rin Tousaka figure by kotobukiya!!! I have been wanting this since I started collecting figures. I like the pose of this figure, and it is not so expensive, 30USD. I will take some better pictures of her later this week.
Again, do you guy think I should get that bunny Haruhi?

Well the Haruhi is at a killer price so if the paint job is ok it's a big yes for me

But the resin kit is out of stock and was like the same price as that finished one so it can be interesting :)
If you like it , buy it . Hesitating can be bad 'cause you'll maybe regret not buying it now .
But again , it's not good to listen to me , i buy too much and my bank is not happy with that , oh well :p

as with all resin kit, the quality depends hugely on how skilled the person doing the painting is. 48USD seems like a pretty decent price. the last time i saw it it was going for over 100USD.
i'll say buy it if the quality is up to standards. i love those fishnet socking. ^^;
