Ok, I am very lazy lately and result in lack of posting. Actually, I wrote three drafts to post last week, but just too lazy to finish it and upload to the site. And today I was not planning to do it either, but thank to UPS makes me so mad, and I just want to write something about it.
Above is my very first GK(garage kit or resin kit) which I bought from e2046 few weeks ago. This reminds me that I have not done the feedback yet; maybe I will do it later; I want to enter the lucky draw :D. I think I just got a little more crazy about figure right now; not just collecting a pre-paint figures, but paint and assembly it myself. The reason I chose this kit to be my first is because it seems very easy to build, and a very simple color scheme. Currently, I haven't really started it yet. I just finished washing it and next will be to assembly it; maybe I will do it later this week if I am not lazy.
I have got all the tools needed to build it except the airbrush. . . It is all thank to UPS. I was supposed to receive it last week, but the smart driver thought I moved and returned it back to the shipper. The best part is the shipper is not in the US, so it is going to take another 2 or 3 weeks or maybe a month; thank you so much, UPS.
Well, let's talk about something happy. I finally got myself a Canon Rebel Xsi (or 450 in some country), and was learning it the whole weekend. I only bought the body only and a 1/8 50mm lens; I think very soon I will need a zoom lens. But for now I want these filters for close-up shot first since I like to take very close picture on my figures; a macro lens is too expensive for me at the moment. Second is a nice tripod, any suggestion?
Here is some pictures taken from my new Canon Rebel Xsi.
First one is Alice from Queen Blade, still need to do a review on her, and also the one behind her;
I like the quality of this picture a lot. Maybe I should take the picture of all my figures again. That will happen when I am not lazy. . .
and my glass...

What kit is that? I spot nekomimi.
The name for this kit in e2046 is Catgirl and is under miscellaneous category. Yes, she is a neko. forgot to mention I bought her also because she was cheap and in stock.
I'll be interested to read about your first experience and what the final product will look like.
Please make sure to post on Danny Choo's website when you're finished so I can find the article later. =)

as for tripod go for a ball-joint one. easy to adjust. if possible go for a metal tripod instead of those cheap plastic one.
I have not seen a garage kit being made before, so I'm looking forward to see yours in progress, but do take your time on it!
sure... although I don't know when I will finish it ^^;
gordon,
actually, I am a bit regret not buying with the kit lens. Well, guess I will just go with the 50mm for a while; and thanks for the tip on tripod.
Q,
yes, will take my time on it.. don't have my airbrush anyway; I can try with hand brushing, but I think that requires more skill for beginner.

Glad to see you bought the 450D , and the 50mm can do great things too !
and good luck for the GK , can't wait to see more !
thanks ^^. I can not find that Velbon cx 660 in Amazon... I think I will just buy a very cheap for my first time.

i recently got a tripod, but instead of getting a nice one i figured i'd get the cheapest one i could find since i didn't know too much and the nice things would probably go to waste. ended up spending like and for now suits my needs just fine. meh, well at any rate, everyone else seems to have given you much better tripod advice, so i'll leave it to them ^^;
